So we want a little bit of spin, gotcha.

I remember learning from the great guys about TC's and changing them for a higher stall speed is a very bad idea because it affects drivability (which is something, seeing how we are talking about four door sedans is the one thing we dont' want).

In general, too high and it effects gas mileage and generates more heat. Too low and drivability is effected like slower take-off/lugging and rough or unstable idle.

GM had a 2 speed (switch pitch) TC in the late 60's. Stall speeds were about 3000 and 1500. High stall for accelleration and idle. Low stall for cruising. Today, everyone uses the lockup TC to accomplish the same thing only with better efficiency.
