No such software exists AFAIK. I've been looking since 1999.

I've contacted all of them without success. If they do, it was released in the past 10 months.

I doubt that you are going to be able to find a way to get the 5 speed transmission to shift any faster. Our cars have already been beefed up by AMG and that includes suspensions, transmission, complete drivetrain, engines, brakes and numerous other things. I would check to see if there is a newer more up to date transmission controller for your car. My E55 had the transmission controller replaced a few months back and it seems to shift faster now.

Why did you have to have your transmission controller replaced?

The car was shifting a bit abnormally from 2nd to 1st and 1st to 2nd. He noted that there was a more up to date controller and that he would have to order it from Germany. Well they replaced the controller and even drained the transmission fluid and filled it up again. Ever since then, the transmission has shifted so smoothly its almost impervious to tell where it shifts.

What year is your E55? I know that the dealer has a flash for the controller that they did on my 05. I haven't noticed as much lag as before.

The tranny is also very smart and responds to the way you drive. As I recall it takes 40 shifts is change the program so the harder you drive it the quicker it responds. Drive the s--t out of it for 5 or 6 miles and see if it doesn't help.

I had my dealer dump the memory when he flashed it and this did some good too.
