WOW - No more Hot Laps in the SLR - Now we get to drive one

Damn

if it wasnt just so damn expensive - $2,695 for the one day program - Oh and they throw in some food and a night at the Ritz Carlton so I guess its not all that off the charts ...........read below - I'll let you be the judge!

And bye the way this is my wife Kim with Tommy Kendall after one really fast 28 second lap around the Autocross course in the SLR at the AMG Challenge at Road America this year - couldnt get the smile off her face for months - and what a really great guy Tommie is....

Dear Mercedes-Benz Enthusiast,

I got invited to that too. A bit too much, if the airfare was included, I would have gone for sure.

Got the same invite. Too far to travel for just one day of fun. Would seriously consider if it was held on the West Coast.

I hope you'd get to drive one because at 4:15 it says "Hot laps with members of the SLR Safety & Speed Academy." The hard copy from the dealer said SL55s and SLK55s were going to be available too. Those could be for the morning session.

I wonder if I'd get a credit if I stayed at my uncle's condo across the street from the Ritz?
