WOW. How much the Brabus run ya. Any cats on it at all...Utah has emissions I gotta pass....grrrrrr.
Sure miss Indiana....you could run open headers for all they cared. Well cept for noise law. Heh heh.

Guess I should video some runs to hear how different it sounds from that.
Never get to hear her much from the outside.

improving exhaust
On my 00E55 I had a custom muffler shop that specializes in hot rod exhaust cut the stock exhaust system off behind the cats. I bought a 2.5" dual in dual out stainless magnaflow muffler and had it installed where the resonator was then the shop custom built two new stainless 2.5" pipes all the way back and I reused the stock AMG tips.
To hear real close to what my car sounds like go to the Magnaflow web site and click on HEAR, then click American muscle car, then click on the 05 mustang 4.0 V-6. My car sounds almost identical to the 05 V-6 mustang with limited to no cabin drone.
It cost me about a grand and I can't say if I got any performance improvement but it definately sounds european nasty when you step on it.

If I want loud, I have my Viper Exhaust which is High-Flow Cats & Borla Catback. This isn't anything like 60's muscle car loud, but it's enough of a "growl" to sound good on takeoff and when you hit the go pedal. I have tried to record the sound, but the clips are such bad quality it really didn't work.
The Exhaust runs $1900ish from Brabus and you get the mufflers to the tail pipes.

I bet your rig with high flow cats and a Borla cat back is truely muscle mean sounding, mine is not all that loud, just a nice audible improvement over stock.

My wife hates the whaletale, but I keep trying to tell her. "This car actually uses it.....when it's at 185, it keeps it from going airborne". She is so used to seeing them on Civics.
