cls55 amg rims on a 2006 e55 wagon?

Hello, Would like to see if these 19" rims from the new CLS55 would fit on a 2006 E55 wagon? Here are the specs for the wheels..
Tires are Bridgestone 255/35/19 in the front and 285/30/19 in the rear.. Front wheels have 25 offset and rear wheels come with a 28 offset.

The wheels should fit with no problems. If im correct the 2005+ E55's have the same suspension setup as the CLS with the revised steering rack and what not. I see no reason why they wouldnt fit.

The front wheels will be OK, even though the offset is 5mm less (ET25 vs. E30 stock). Your steering will "load up" with wider front track, making it feel harder as you increase lock, say around a tight corner.
The rear will not fit! The 285 tire is 10mm wider on each side than the 265 stock and the offset ET28 is 11mm less than stock ET39. 10mm + 11mm =21mm outwards. when you bottom out, the outside of the tire will rub the trailing edge of the rolled fender at the point where it joins the plastic bumper molding. I tried this, but go ahead and see for yourself.

I have the 19" SL65 AMG rims on my 2004 E55 with 285 rear tires and it does not rub at all. Its a perfect fit. I would look into the SL65 rims if I were you since they just look that much nicer on an already beautiful car.

Do you have pics of your E with the SL65 wheels on it? I love those wheels and think they would look awesome on my white E. Thanks!

there has been some discussion that you should not stagger the wheels width in a 4matic

Talking

PS. I have a 2004 W211 4matic wagon. I have 18" AMG 5 spoke from an E55 on it with stagger size. I do notice some increase tramtracking and a harsher ride but thats about it. In the manual, the E500 sport wagon 4 matic do not have stagger size. The E55 wagon is not a 4matic. The E500 sportwagon with stagger width tires reccommended in the manual is not 4matic either.

What does all this mean? I am not sure. All I know is that I am happy with my wagon with the 18" wheel and it looks damn good
