My dealer told me its gonna be out end of 2006 as 2007 model.... anyone else heard anything?

 

Was at MBUSA last week and spoke to Rob Allen about this. He said the E63 will be out next summer with the 7G and sport package opt

Btw i really wish MB would improve the handling and suspension work on E63!!!

 

Package will be similiar to the SL55 (LSD, Upgraded Composite Brakes, Susp. Tweaks, and Vmax raised to 180mph).

 

what are composite brakes ? Is it the ceramic ones?

 

They are just multi-piece (Floating Rotor) brake discs like those used on the 65 series. I dont think they are ceramic, that would cost almost as much as the whole 030 package!

I Put my deposit down a couple of months ago and the My Salesman & his manager have been told by MBZ that late summer is the approximate date. I'm wondering if a twin turbo model will be released later and how much more it will cost? any guesses?

 

I belive twin turbo models will go to higher models like CLS, SL,CL,S.

I would bet that they TT the E63 at some point. If you look at what they did previously, they SCed these classes: E, CLS, S, CL, SL, M, and G. They left the C, CLK, and SLK classes without the SC. This is why I'm thinking when they do the upgrade from 63, the E will be apart of the move.

 

I heard that the E class facelift will get the new N/A V8 510hp and then when the new new E class comes out it will get the same V8 but turbo charged

i THINK that they gonna leave out E class too and Put Twin turbo engine into CLS.... dunno we'll see.
