I have a passion for Mercedes as well, but I can appreciate somebody's opinion and views. Sure he came off with some very blunt statements, but does it require 2 full pages of rebuttles?!
Dude, this "somebody" happens to be the damn***** who's been antagonizing just about everyone on this forum since 2003 . Two full pages you say, give us a break what are two pages in comparison to the last 2 years??
Also, if you did not post in this thread may be it would not have made it to two pages.
The first 6 or 7 posts were going fine until you were the one who initiated the huge debater.
Ah, I see...so it is "fine" if someone who has been bashing Mercedes and insulting the members of this forum for one year comes in to a Mercedes E55 forum, proclaims a BMW M5 to be the best four door sedan on the planet, and states that the E55 "utterly lacks" good handling ability.
But it is bad if anyone criticizes this person for it.
Fine...thank you for clearing that up.

No, ladders have nothing to do with it. And it wasn't the latter reason, nor was it the former reason, which just goes to show that you're no better of a mind reader than most of the people who would tell me what I think at any given time.

Actually, as I stated previously in this very thread: I have absolutely no problem with his opinions. It is his behavior, and only his behavior, which bothers me.

Thank you for your concern as to how I spend some of my free time. Really, I appreciate your caring. But I can assure you that I read very fast, and type quite fast as well, so the amount of time I spend doing this is not as long as it might apear. And I have a pretty good memory, so if a certain poster does things a certain way for a long time, I don't have to do much "research" to keep up with him.

You might also have a look at my posting history before implying something uninformed, because frankly you seem pretty ill-informed. The fact that I went after krispy in response to his attacking Mercedes and its owners in a certain way doesn't mean that I can't handle a good debate.
And if you'd like to start one, feel free: you might start by actually posting something substantive....

Gee, I'm sorry that you don't seem to like my using the tools that are available on the board...perhaps we should also abandon these fancy newfangled browsers and go back to the good old days of gopher, veronica, and telnet.
So you fancy yourself some deep thinker who has something to contribute? Perhaps then you'd care to engage in some serious debate on some matter? Because my little jabs at krispy aside, I'm more than capable of engaging you on any level at which you'd care to rise to, or more likely, sink to given the direction in which you're already heading.
Feel free...dazzle me with your brilliance. Bring it on, baby.

Are you reading a different forum, or are you just not reading? I said that the M5 is a great car. I never said it's a bad car, although on one or two occasions I've made fun of its Banglized looks, which I find rather uninspiring...but that hardly makes me unique; you might try going to roadfly's BMW forum and searching for "Bangle" to see how much admiration many avid BMW fans have for his designs.
But you're confusing my dislike for ill-mannered trolls with my opinion of the car, which are not one in the same. I like BMWs, but some of their owners are not high up on my list of favorites.

And quite frankly, this is coming off as nothing more than a jealous rant. What's the matter, did you get a "D" in your Creative Writing class?
I mean, really...are you seriously deluded enough to believe that the hostility displayed towards krispy stems from my actions, and not from his? That people are attacking him because of my opinion of him, not because of his past actions?
Well, here's a hint for you, oh not-so-wise-one who cannot be bothered to research people's posting histories: people were slamming krispy for his actions long before I entered the picture.

Deeply strange, and even more ridiculous and one-sided. Yet again, another poster appears to defend the BMW trolls and attack any Mercedes enthusiast who, in a Mercedes forum, actually dares to (gasp) attack or insult people who have been attacking and insulting people for months.
Well, you aren't fooling anyone...not too hard to see your motives here...
And before you make more uninformed statements about my motives, I would suggest that you review my posting history, particularly my recent posting history...because your opinion is ill-informed, and is quite wrong.

Ovbiously I'm going to become a target, anybody who likes BMW's always is on this fourm.
Gee, really? So DerekFSU just bought an M5, as did Absent, and both have come in here and made favorable comments about them. Have either of them been flamed for it? No. Know why? Because both of them are polite, and haven't been flaming Mercedes owners for liking their cars, or told them their cars suck, etc...
The reason krispy gets flamed is because of his behavior. If he were polite to people, he wouldn't get flamed.
And please, spare us the "Oh, you Mercedes guys are oh so bad" bull****...why don't you go to a few of the BMW forums out there for starters, and see how much warmth and enthusiasm their members display when someone posts something favorable about an Audi or Mercedes??
What you see here is common in every car forum on the Internet. If you can find an example of a car enthusiasts' forum where this sort of thing does not take place, please feel free to point me to it, because I've seen none, and I read a lot of them.

I like BMWs too and in fact, just bought a 2006 750Li with Individual program options, but I go to BMW forums to praise its cool features and share with others why I love the car.
Folks hanging out on MB forums have their own reasons why they bought their cars, if you don't share the common passion, it makes more sense for you to do what you said, not to post.
