Active Curve Illumination? Not working.

Active Curve Illumination? Not working.
I just got my E55 on saturday. I've been checking things out and although my bi-xenon lights are great, they do not appear to move at all as I turn. Are there settings to check?

E55
The headlights will not move below 10mph so you must be rolling to see the effect. The lights self-test with every start so there shouldn't be any internal problems unless you get an error message. Try rolling along at night and turning the wheel back and forth. It's easy to see the lights move.

They absolutely do not move at all. I drove up in the twistys last night and didn't see them budge. They are nice and bright, though. Do the main beams move or just side marker lights?

If they do not work you will get a message like 'cornering lights out.' I got it twice.
The movements are pretty subtle. But when they do not work you will miss them

Hell, maybe they forgot to put in bi-xenons. I doubt it, though. They are pretty darn bright. How do I tell for sure?

What year is your E55?

I have same question
I too have 06 E55 with bixenons, and don't notice any clear movement with turns, even over 10mph. In contrast, when in my Lexus RX400h, I can very easily see the lights moving on the same curves. I don't get any error messages. I will be bringing the E55 for 1000 mile checkup soon, and have them check the lights. I couldnt find anything in the manual regarding need for activation of the curving lights.

Just drive the car on a straight road and throw your steering wheel from left to right and back for a while...if you do have cornering lights you will notice that their movement is irritating slow and your lights will be pointing into directions you are not going to...if you do not notice anything at all - your lights do not move at all.

When you start the car and turn on the lights, the lights should go through a top/down, left/right self test, no?

Same here. I was worried when I first got the car because I had read they were supposed to go side-to-side when you first turned them on. NewMoses- another trick to test them is to hit a cloverleaf real fast.
