I got the wallet about a week ago; a(nother) survey was enclosed. The cover letter stated that it was given in thanks for my repeat business (I previously purchased an '01 SLK 320 (which I sometimes really regret having gotten rid of... white on red/black -- super-cool!!!)).
I've never gotten anything like that before, and it was quite a nice surprise. Perhaps MBUSA has realized that there are a lot of options for higher-end car buyers out there, and the fact that a car's got a 3-star hood ornament isn't necessarily the be-all/end-all in consumers' minds anymore.
Meanwhile, I'm like the President when it comes to MBUSA sending me a blanket: "Bring. It. On!"
