A SL55 delivered 8/18/07, and an E55 wagon delivered 5/11/05
Could Evosport put together a sub 11 second E55?
With Derek FSU showing what this car (with some major $ spent) is capable of doing, I pose the following question. Could our hosts of this website Brad and Simon, using thier parts put together a faster car? Since Derek used nitrous I will allow them to subcontract that part out if they dont have a nitrous system that they designed. Also tires and wheels could be bought from an outside vender. I want the board to speculate and I wonder if we could get a thought about this directly from Evosport Wolf

I believe it can be done. On just tires and Kleemann Stage 2 plus LSD, I ran 11.65 at 121.9 mph. Has Evosport done this or come close?
A few people have added nitrous to their car. Several people have done Kleemann. All I did was throw the two together. Even done properly, you'll eventually find the limit of what our engine can handle. We know it can handle Kleemann Stage 2 plus a 120 shot and can probably handle more. It's just a gamble to see how far you can take it without blowing it.
I hope someone else now picks up the torch. My feeling is that someone in a 600/65 will add nitrous and become the fastest. Certainly they have the most potention.

Hey Jim why dont volunteer your wagon since you are wondering about Evosport? I am sure Kim would say go for it I have had all my mods done by Evo but never ever plan on doing a Nitrous shot so count me out on the sub 11. But I am sure, like Derek said, that the right combo can produce the right results.

The answer is YES. Getting past 11s is possible.
An E55 with with EVOII and Cooling Package, typically is in high 11s at low 120s.
To get another second off these times, here is what the car will need:
1. Traction: DOT slicks will definitely help. LSD diff almost becomes a neccessity.
2. More Power: We are right at around 500 RWHP right now. Upcoming EVOIII should place us at around 560-570 RWHP, which with 1.7 - 1.8 60ft times should have us in high 10s at high 120s, low 130s.
Now a 75HP NOS shot will be very helpful, however our goal is to keep power adders to just one - kompressor.

I believe that you'll need 600rwhp to get 10's, maybe. Has anyone with your EVOII pushing 500rwhp beaten my K2 440rwhp time of 11.65? Good luck and I hope you get it!

Has anyone taken a stock converter from our cars and loosened it up for better launches? DJ ran a 1.67 60' on Toyo Proxies T1s at our track day on Friday, so there has got to be a low 1.5x with a looser converter and a real tire under the car.
What was your short time on your 10.95 run, Derek?
