Latest C&D Shock & Awe
My December C&D just arrived and has the Vette Z06 going head to head with the new Viper.
For the first time in history the Vette spanks the Viper in almost every category and cost's over $20K less. Final points Vette 206 to Viper 178 Both cars pulled 1.01g
Vette 0-60 3.4 secs and 1/4 mile 11.8 @125
Viper 0-60 3.8 secs and 1/4 mile 12.1@120
Would love to see Z06 in 2007 offer F1 trans and cabrio
Will get to run against a 06 Z06 at our 1/4 event in the am in my E55.

a few...
Just read the same article. Motor Trend and Automobile Mags rated the Z06 top dog against the Viper as well. Motor Trend threw in the GT for good measure and I think Car and Driver did too?
Read the Dyno Graphs in Motor Trend too if you get the chance. All three cars put up impressive numbers but they did give the GT a little too much credit, although I am sure it's underrated like the others, but they ran the GT in third with that ratio being 1.23:1. Anyways, point of the story. The Z06 is CrAzY... I can't wait to see what these things will post up at the drags, seen a few videos of 11.7s at 125s.
Enough mumbling from me... Well, glad to see that the HP Wars are still in full swing.

GM won't bring out a cabriolet version. That would make too much sense. That's why GM is going down the tubes. The current bean counters at GM don't have enough brains to figure out that they could sell as many as they could make. They don't have a clue.

GM is done with, lets face it. The new Denali looks like **** from the outside, and inside as do many of the new cars it has.

Having had the chance to see one in person a few days ago at our track event I must say it looks AWESOME and has such a euro sport look to it. I drove it down the track twice and being behind the wheel was fun. The car looks mean from all angles
Since I had a chance to drive the new roadster for a week 6 months ago, I must say that the Viper has come along way but not nearly refined as the Z06. I use to love those fat rear tires on the Viper but the new Z06 has caught up with 325 (only 2 sizes smaller).
The only thing I see that the Viper has over the Z06 Vette is it comes as a roadster. Off course having to swallow that pill that you are paying over $70K for a Vette can be hard.
