For every post saying that some tire is ****e there are two more saying how great the same tire is. If the Nittos I put on my car stop being quiet, grippy, smooth-riding tires I'll post an update. Thanks for all of the info.
Actually, true. I don't know why AMG has contis as OEM... Some CLS 55s come with Pirelli P zeros and everyone knows how good they are. Does it rain much where you are? I've often read the nittos don't perform well in the wet.

Actually, as long as you like the Nitto's that's all that matters. I will say that the Nittos and the P Zero's were the most "square" side wall look I've seen...I liked that a lot.

My M5 came with Contis as well, because they're so new and I don't corner doing 100mph, I didn't see the need to change tires yet, also I was told that PS2s don't come in 285's

But for the most part, Contis are pretty bad.

No need for "the Aussie" to eat your ***... your own car riding on the third rate rubber will bite your *** so hard you won't see it coming, tight-****, just give it time!J/K

That's funny because I never knew how bad the Nitto's sucked until I put them on.

I didn't care for the F1 GS-D3's due to excessive noise on bridges that were grooved for drainage or at low speeds. Not to mention, the tire life was very short with the GS-D3's. IMHO, on the E55, the Pilot's blow the GS-D3's out of the water.

I do the PS2's, and use the Eagle's (and PZero Corsa's) when I have to....
