Derek, congrats on the fastest E55 time without spray that I've ever heard of. That is simply incredible. Now you have to switch to the Kleemann headers to make a comparison.
It's time to really get serious ladies. Take off the skirts and get 10's. Let's roll.

A wise person taught me many years ago that anything is for sale.
BTW - Any video of me running down the track?

Derrick, I've got an NX wet nitrous kit with carbon fiber bottle that's sitting in the garage. We can wrench it on to your car for a couple passes if you want

Cory thinks I'm not making as much power with the EVO headers but my times aren't showing it. As far as 10's, that's all you. Some of the guys were asking "are you DerekFSU", I just replied, "no, I"m the slow Derrick".

That could be fun in the Spring! How long does it take to set-up on the car?

Got your message late yesterday. I just got my new phone yesterday evening. What a nightmare it's been without a cell phone.
Sounds Good. I doubt that I will sell it anytime soon

After the other day it makes you appreciate the car more and more.

As for nitrous, I say do it. But when you do it, know that no one has found where the engine blows and thus costs you $40,000.
My injectors were custom and were approximately a 120shot. It was also done in a custom location making it a "semi-wet" shot. But one person doing it is not a whole lot of R&D.
I would find a master MB tech who has experience with this and talk to them. Let me know if you need to find one. Go for it.

I have heard that # thrown around the board a couple times. Why would you need to replace the entire engine if you just pop a piston or crack some rings?

I think the ideal setup would be direct port, post-blower. Personally, I would worry about the life of the blower when spraying gas into it. It's a shame we can't find a way to add fuel with a dry shot. That would make it much easier.

Why would MB be the only source for pistons? I've had custom pistons made for other applications, why would an MB V8 be any different?

I was happy to get the 11.52 with the mods that I have. I had told Spero the day before that I thought one of us would be in the 11.50's if not both. Nice seeing you again and next time we need to switch cars.

Just to reply to my own post
![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I talked to my friend who works at JE. He said they would have no problem making pistons for any MB V8, but specifically the W211 E55, all he'd require is an OEM piston. He said they could make them work with the OEM rods or aftermarket.
