Storing Drag tires in vacuum bags?

I'm picking up some 17" drag tires for the 1/4 track and I was wondering, since the tires won't be used very often what is the best way to keep them fresh and new? I was thinking of the clear vacuum bags you can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond. I bought my Mom some a couple years ago to store old clothes and stuff and I was thinking it would be a great way to keep my drags like new. The bags are supposed to be vacuum selled. What do you guys think?

I use black 55 gallon contractor clean up bags to store my tires.

tire storage

Vacuum sealed bags are great if your putting them away for years and years but considering the expense I think big garbage bags in dry storage will work fine.

The main issue is just keep them from temperature extremes, out of the sun, and keep moisture away.
