AMG Test Drive on Speed
I thought you may be interested in the hour-long Test Drive show on the Speed Channel dedicated to AMG. This is the show hosted by Tommy Kendall. It aired recently but is scheduled again for January 2 at 10 pm Eastern.
It is a typical fluff piece, but I am sure many of you would enjoy the extensive footage of several AMG cars on the track and the autobahn. The models covered include the CLS55, SLK55, SL65 (hitting 300 kph), SL55, and the E55. In addition, the show includes a look at the engine assembly process and AMG's participation in DTM racing. At the very end, there is mention of the new -63 series engine with "503 hp and 465 ft/lbs of torque."

Tommy was our celebrity instructor at the AMG Challenge in Lime Rock this summer. He took me for an amazing ride around the road course in an SL65. Still makes me giggle just thinking about it.

2003 CL55 Kompressor Horizon Blue Metallic
I tivo'd it last weekend, it's a great episode. Watched it again last night. Much like the torque of our cars, it trumps all the other SpeedTV test drive episodes.
Mika and Klaus Ludwig have some hilarious lines.
There's also some good footage inside the AMG facilities, and they discuss the "one engine builder for each engine".
Oh, and Klaus takes the SL65 up to 300 Kph on the Autobahn, and then simply says "no drama". Great stuff.
