Just picked up a black C55 (not obsidian, though
). Both she and her grandma declined my request for pictures.... they said they wanted to take shower first. So for now, I just took pictures of their butts ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
If this weekend is not raining, I think they wouldn't mind posing for more pictures after having a shower.

Heh sound just like me
I have the same type of E55 as you but in Silver and picked up a SLK55 (silver) a few weeks ago.
Starting to turn into an AMG only garage. Actually my other cars are parked in the driveway even though we have a 4 car garage.
They aren't allowed in the garage.
Congratz!!

How to decode the story:
Her mom: '03 W211 E55
Her origin: Dealer
Got sick: Warranty work
Pregnant: Didn't expect to get another AMG down the road
The baby: C55
Anyway, I'm happy my garage is once again filled w/ AMG's... just like couple years ago. Only a little lower scale this time

definitely should set up a bay area meet
Most of the meets I see here are class specific ... we should just do a general AMG meet.
Anyone willing to set one up?

So yes, they are reproducing ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)

Well, haven't driven much of the C. But this what I can tell so far:
Power: I think it's about the same (doesn't the paper say so also?). The C feels a bit hesitant to release the raw power..... Let's wait couple more months and I could tell more.
Handling: The C feels nimbler albeit similar feeling of nose heavy. Could be because smaller body, shorter chassy and less weight.
Suspension: C is a bit stiffer.... could be my E suspension gets old
Road Noise: The C is worse.... Could be because of the tires... Conti vs. S03.
Brake: The C is better..... Could be because of the size and my E's brakes are due to be replaced.
Exhaust Sound: C is deeper and louder..... I love it.... I cannot remember how W211 sounds.... but definitely better than my E.
Sound System: C's is better.... but I'm still not satisfied w/ both. I somehow feel that Bose in my old Max has a lot better sound.
Seat: C's is tighter.... but no multicontour option, which I like the most from E. I don't think I can drive long trip on C. On E, definitely.
Navigation: Stupid.....
My house is in new development so no map yet.... but even when I put nearest intersection available in the map, it still gives me stupid direction
I think German engineering needs to learn from Japanese.
Fit & Finish: Even though C looks nicer.... but I can tell its quality is a lot lower than E. No offense.... but w/ brief experience w/ W211, I think W211 is also not that good. MB obviously does unbeliveable cost cutting![wall](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
Overall.... I think I am going to like C just like I like the E. Different class.... I still need to get used to coming in and out the car, though. I hit my knee twice to the dash already
. This is my first compact car after my Civic that I owned more than 10 years ago or my C4S I sold almost 3 years ago.
Compared to W211 E55, no contest for C. If my '03 E55 were not lemon'd, I wouldn't have bought C.

Hah..... who wears the pants in the family?? LOL If I modded the E now, it would've meant she had to drive the Max for couple more years. Unfortunately, she hates that idea
especially after enjoying the Cayenne for a year.
Then, I came up w/ an idea to get her C230K and still mod my E..... she still didn't like that after test driving a C230K.... LOL
Lesson learned.... never try to let a wife drive a nice car.
