"REST" Menu Feature

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
My 05 built in July has a rest button but won't do anything. Do you need to be stopped with engine off? Keys in ignition? What position?

I was playing around with this yesterday...
To scroll up & down through the list you use the Driver's Side Temperature adjustment buttons. If you press the PASSENGER Side Temp adjustment buttons the values CHANGE and a small vertical bar "|" appears in the center of the display indicating that the value has been modified.
I am not sure why this behaviour is there, but the values can be modified on the display. I am just not sure if they can somehow be saved????? Why would they make them modifiable if they are supposed to be read-only?

If they are sensor outputs I can't see that you can permanently alter them - unless you're adjusting the zero point for that sensor.

Was that a July'05 build? Mine is a Feb '05 with no rest button. Part of the trade-offs I guess.

Not sure, try it...just hold the 'rest' button down for about 5 secs with ignition on or engine on.
Found this and translated it with babelfish so its a bit ???
01 - Temperature sensor interior air with ventilation blower of
02 - temperature sensor outside air
03 - temperature sensors heat exchangers of
05 - temperature sensor evaporator
06 - temperature sensors cooling agent
07 - refrigerant pressure in bar, e.g.. ' 06°4 ' = 6,4bar of
08 - temperature sensors refrigerants, e.g.. ' 23°9 ' = 23,9°C
09 - exact speed without Tachoabweichung
10 - blower expensive tension of ' 08°0 ' to ' 60°0 ' = 0,8V to 6,0V
11 = emission sensor (B31) e.g. 3,1 = 31.v
12 = sunning and sensor 4,2 = 4.2v
20 = auxiliary cooling fan price increase 6,1 = 6.1A (max 10A)
21 = engine speed 1/min*1000
22 = Fzg speed km/h without Tachoabweichung
23 = electric circuit 58d e.g.. 99 = 99% of battery voltage,
24 = BATTERY VOLTAGE e.g. 12,5 = 12.5v 40 = tax module version software-Version
