Those look great! I like the class with sportiness.
If I undestand correctly about HREs with a lip having an issue in rain about becoming unbalanced and vibrating because water gets caught on the lip, will these do the same? I'm trying to decide on a lip or not.

Unfortunately, all reverse drop center 3-piece wheels will have this problem.

Peter...that looks really tight TIGHT! Classy combo.

But, I'm distracted at first glance looking at those pics 'cause it seems initially to my eye that the center caps are missing? I know they are not, but does it seem that way to you in person?

Hi George, how are you? The HREs still holding up well I hope?

The chrome centercap actually looks pretty nice in person - they really go well with the chrome lip. I never had that impression in person.

I have one more set of wheels to put on this car before its time with me is over. Pics to come in about 2 weeks, if all goes well. Thanks for all comments, stay tuned!

I think its the chrome catching a darker hued surface and relecting it. Sort of like when chrome catches something light it looks brighter, etc etc

Really nice car and I think the silver (as opposed to chrome) wheels look great on a dark coloured car.

Thank you guys for all of the replies -

DJ, Yes, you can fit the OEM Benz centercap with these wheels. It snaps right in.

blackbenzz, the lips are chrome as standard.

BTW i forgot to mention, the car is lowered using the KLEEMANN lowering units, this is all I use now since I have had such great experiences with those. The rear trunk lip is a Brabus piece.

How is that when going on/off driveways/curb-cuts, etc.? I do a lot of that around west hollywood/west LA, and even with the stock suspension (even when the "raised" button is engaged) I bottom out the front or (gasp!) muffler tips a lot - and yes, I basically crawl over these things, I don't "bounce" over 'em.

Can you still use the raise feature to the same effect for these purposes? Is the lowness of the car even more daunting to driving over uneven roads?

I love the look, but I'm wondering if it's practical for me.

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
Thats one clean car, nice wheels and seriously low profiles !!! - great pics ...

The front brakes almost look small in those wheels ... so on mbe rotors wont get too hot now with the additional space giving better cooling ?

Rgds Steve.
