Heating Problems

From what I have been reading on this site, it seems that a lot of people with the Kleemann kits are having heating problems. If I get the Kleemann K1, do I need to be concernced about this? Should I be getting cooling upgrades as well?

Yes, you can just get the Kleemann K1 but I wouldn't recommend it unless you also get some additional cooling like the Kleemann I/C pump or the Evosport cooling kit. If you want consistant power that is..

Thanks. How much is the Kleemann I/C pump. Is it notiecable to the dealer when I bring it in for a check up?

Kleemann I/C pump is $800.00........consider using some type of cooling system with whoever system you use.Even without the E55 being modded, the E55 has issue with I/C pump failure.

The stock E55 I/C pump sucks. Mine had failed twice on me before going the Kleemann route. Since then I have not had any problems. So if you do get any mods, make sure that you add the new and more robust I/C pump as well.

I think the stock pump, only moves about 17L per minute, and the Kleemann and Evo move something like 60-70 L per minute. Big difference IMO to keep the engine cool.

Thanks for the heads up. BTW, is the Kleemann I/C pump noticeable from the factory one. Just concerned that my dealer may try to void the warranty if they notice a different I/C pump.

Its not that much more noticeable. It is a bit larger but the benefits outweigh looks. Also the dealer would have to prove to you that the modification caused the failure or something. Don't sweat it. In fact its more reliable than the damn stock pump.
