Tried the scan tool at Ennis on Friday night. I only measured intake temp, rpm's, speed and coolant temp in order to keep the fastest sampling rate possible.

Unfortunately, each pass down the track, the tool or engine data output went into brain lock and there was no data shown from take off until deceleration.

So I know that my intake temp went from 162 (95 degrees at 8pm) to 235 in 14 seconds but there's nothing in between.

I've sent a detailed e-mail to Auto-Enginuity, we'll see what they say.

That's interesting, here's a snippet of the response from Autoenginuity:
When your vehicle goes WOT throttle it shuts down the unnecessary tasks down. The only way around it is to never go WOT throttle so the ECM won't switch the DLC off.

Shocker! They blamed MB!

Jesseliu, what brand do use and have you used it at the strip and only experienced a 1 second delay?

I have the auto-enginuity also but i can record the entire run from burn-out to shutdown with out a problem. Are you using the blue-tooth or the usb connector.

That's NOT true! I've done many a datalog on Autotap at WOT and it works just fine. Problem has always been the sampling rate. OBDII just doesnt provide enough to get very fast sampling. I get only a few records of data but it does show the info.. Also, I can see the values changing in the graphs & charts as the car accelerates.

USB connection, KWP2000 interface, OBD-II compliant initialization, Fast Mode and heartbeat checked.
