Albert,
I am using the autotap program. Its works great in the car while driving but I had a heck of a time datalogging on the dyno for some reason with the DYNO MODE turned on.
I received an update to the hardware & software and have yet to try the new one yet.
Overall, for the money, Autotap gets my vote.

The autotap website says for GM, Ford, Honda etc ... but not MB - I assume it works fine though ?

Did you have a chance to see if the autotap checks for knock retard as well?
I may be going the autotap route to help put the fine honing on my Kleemann K2 tune.
Thanks in advance

I'm using this scan tool Data logger.
I works well enough, has a Windoze, Palm and Pocket PC OS.
Also comes with a dyno module.
It was 229 on a group buy, regularly 249.
They have a value comparo between competitive products somewhere on their website.

rflow, did they provide any timing for the MB update?
Have you ever measured IAT?
The one time that I did, it ran from 122 degrees F at 0 mph to 230 degrees at 127 mph. After that it was range bound between the high 170's to low 200's.
Probably not perfect for performance.

You can take it to the dealer and complain about a loss of power to point them in the right direction.

Part numbers
I've been reading this thread with great interest ... and now that I've modified my car I would like to get one of these devices as well to be able to check some critical data.
Please let me know the part number as well.
Best Regards,
Jesse

I decided to go with the AutoEnginuity.Best deal is from seller "AutoEnginuity" on Ebay.
Might buy the Autotap also and keep it for my other cars, atleast i'll be able to see which one I like better I guess.

Has anybody here used one of these? They say it also supports all aux. input parameters available from the Innovate Motorsports LM-1 Wide Band O2 meter.Which is agreat idea for tuning and keeping an eye on things.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I've really only tried it once. The only thing that I didn't like was the data logger wouldn't run simultaneously with the speed tracer.
Once again, could be user error. There was an instruction manual, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't put there for me!

You manually trigger the test, but the motion of the vehicle starts the
sampling.
Is what the sales guy responded ... which is quite neat - as long as the timer only kicks off once the vehicle starts to roll.
Confirmed cannot run ScanTool and SpeedTracer together.
