What would you get?
Since several of you are old Supra enthusiast, I thought this would be a good forum to get a balanced opinion on this question.
I have had 3 MKIV TT Supra's over the past 8 years.
Although the E55 is fun, I miss having a smaller sports car.
I am wanting to know what you all would do if you had the choice.
I AM KEEPING THE E!
1998 Supra Single Turbo 860 RWHP with all the goodies. 8K miles on the clock. Clean as you get.
2006 Corvette Z06.
2004-2005 Viper
All of these would be in the range of $60-$70K

although i never driven any of the cars you listed i would think that, If you track your car get z06, if not you just cant beat the punch of 860rwhp supra... wow i just cannot even imagine how fast is that...

I f have owned all of the above, except the 06/z06.......i currently have an 03/zo6 that makes power way north of 600rwhp,but i would have to say the supra. Its a car before its time, plus no matter how much power you throw it,the car is still tight.

I just sold my 94 supra with over 800rwhp. It was sad to see it go. I am kinda undecided on what to do also. I love my E but would love a sports car too. For me I am going to wait on the upcoming Skyline and hopefully supra to make my decision. The supra though is just something awesome. Its still hard to beat a supra for modding. Stock block stock 6speed tranny is good for over 800 rwhp everyday!!!

Wow...no Viper votes
I would say, I am not worried about not having a warranty with a Supra.
I put a combined 100k miles on my last 3, not one single warranty issue. Raced, dragged, had fun. They are solid cars.
I do see the apeal of the Z06 though

Yeah I see the appeal of the Z06. I would get one if not for so many great sports cars coming out. A modded C6 Z06 would be a handful without a doubt.
After driven several vipers I crossed it out. Build quality sucks to me.(First Gen). C6 Z06 over viper for me.

i would say the 860rwhp supra, because i like japenese imports, and supra is sort of a rare car.. but also is expensive.. 860whp is alot of power... i would kill to get my hands on a 860whp MKIV Supra with under 10,000 miles, but it would be to expensive to run.. and buy

Get the Z06.
The Supra is a badass car. I had 2. The last one I took from 400 rwhp to 705 rwhp and it became laggy and to me unstreetable with a T66 & 264 cams + rods/pistons upgrade. I think it only produced like 200 torque at the wheels at 3k rpms...was hard to pass cars on the highway just cruising. It was either rather slow from 0-4k rpms but once I hit 5k rpms rwhp went from 250 to 500 and then to 705 at redline, wheels would spin at 4th near 100 mph in the winter. The car was either on or off.
I love torque down low so get the Z06. Also a 650-700 rwhp Z06 will likely get the same ET as a 850 rwhp Supra, especially if the Supra is a 6 speed. Do heads/cams on a new Z06, you won't go wrong.
The Supra like the RX7 has not lost its appearance appeal -- both look new today but you got rid of your 2 Supras for a reason so why go back?
Get a 2001 Audi S4 with K04s....you will see it will hang/beat a T67 Supra on C16 which will put down about 700-725 rwhp. Or get a GN for $8-10k and put it into the 9's for another 10-12k.
I have driven a Viper and don't like the cabin size ...way too small.

get something distinct.... the Viper.... it's not front heavy, it's actually 49/51 weight distribution to the rear....
want more power, put a blower on and you'll have as much power as you need.... 650-1000HP depending on the setup.... there are even twin-turbo Viper kits out for around $12k......

im looking for an E55 at the moment (hook me up SamE55!), but have owned 3 vipers (gen 1, gen2, gen3), a 1998 Quicksilver TT (BPU+), and an 02 Z06. all of the cars mentioned are great in their own respects, but it all comes down to what u want to use the car for (track, drag, daily).
i assume the 98 single T from VIP. ive considered that car too, but its WAY too modded for me to enjoy w/o worrying about tuning/driveablility issues, race gas, etc. if it was stock or bpu i would have bought it already.
the 06 Z06 is probably the undeniable bang for the buck winner, and u get a warranty to boot. the performance for the $$ is unbeateable!!
the gen 3 viper is the best pkg for a viper yet. very civilized (not as much as a corvette though), rare, great tq, and u can drop the top. nothing better than the top down with the sidepipes!
if i had the E55 already and could add another to the stable, id get another viper, but id get a 99 GTS (forged internals). the Gen 2 GTS isnt as easy to drive as the Gen 3, but IMO has the classic viper look. since the E is already civilized enough, id go for something different..the viper. u cant lose on any of the choices though

Yes it is the VIP car
I love you guys...
You all voice the same opinions that I have thought through many times.
I may be leaning toward the Z06 but my true love seems to always go back to the Supra.
e55 Baller
The reason I sold my last 3 Supras was due to job changes and the need for more space in a single vehicle. I am past that point in my life now and can have a 3rd car for the garage.
I think the Viper would be the most exotic choice of the bunch but I have never heard anyone say they were fun to drive
The Supra is great for any distance and it does have enough TQ even highly modified, just use gears....there are 6. I would not get an Auto in any of these.
I think i'M Even more confused now
