Wheel offset question... Brabus

I thought all Brabus wheels were the same offset and the "CORRECT" offset spacer would need to be purchased and bolted on from the inside making the wheels universal? Is this not correct????

What would be the PERFECT offset for 19" wheels and 20" wheels for my AMG E55?

Thanks,

It all depends on what size tires you want to put on.
If you stay with 245F/275R, then you can get away with ET30 Front and ET35-ET33 Rear.
When you go up to 255/285, as BRABUS did on EV12, then ET30 and ET38 will stop the rear tires rubbing the fenders. Any less than ET38, and you will be rolling both rear fenders!

I have ET35 F with 255/35/19 and ET38 Rear with 285/30/19 PS2 and they are perfect. I could go with ET30 front too. On the rear I have a 3mm gap between the tire wall and the inside edge of the rear fender on maximum compression.(measured by sliding three credit cards around the rim after parking one rear wheel on a high curb!)

Thanks for the post and your car looks GREAT! So do you have spacers on your wheels, I really need to find out if the Brabus wheels I have been checking out will fit or what...

LOL, all the more reason for me to hate Brabus. Flashy and not even custome. Spacers? Hah! Not on a $100K car. That car does look sweet, though. I'm starting to lean harder and harder to the AMG (SL65 look) or the HREs. I'm really growing tired of the stock rims. Dunno why. Rims can take a car either way. If done right, they look mint and add so much, but they make a car look ragged out if anything is wrong. I say we setup a meet and greet and bring the Blue E55 with Black HREs from OC to take a look.

I know that Carlsson wheels all come with one offset, I think ET40, from the factory, with an "adaptor kit" for each model, C, E, CL etc or a glorified hubcentric spacer, but one that must be screwed on to the back of the wheel mounting plate.
Not bad on a $10,000 worth of 1/16 Ultralights, not even a custom fit!
I had some Monoblock IV 18" BRABUS on my E430 and the "snap-on", spring loaded 12mm rear spacer and a front plastic hubcentric ring were interchangable front to rear, so that you could rotate the non-staggered 8.5" wheels. When I damaged one wheel, the insurance company replaced it with a fixed ET35 with a machined hubcentric flange. I suspect that you will get ET35 front and rear now, but check on BRABUS web site, it's all listed.
