I bought them only to use on the track (1/4 mile) and nothing else. I would imagine you could daily drive them but they probably would not last more than a few weeks.
Anyone else feel free to chime in if I missed something.

The treadwear rating on those things can't be more than 80, right? Were the tires heat cycled? (Not sure if that really means that much.)
From what I have heard and read, the tires need a number of passes before they are really going to give you the grip you want. Don't be discouraged if they don't knock your socks off on day 1.
Good luck!!

one more question, can you daily drive them? What is the draw back on them if there's no rain, and how bad are they in the rain?
I was in terror in the rain on mine.....
Some guys use them for autocross but like I have posted before, the Goodrich guy was screaming at me, "Nooooooooo!! The sidewalls are designed for straight forward maximum acceleration, not a 2 ton car in the twisties."
Also you would be replacing them every other month. Draggincents got about 3k on his using them for daily driving.

'03 G500, '13 G63, '17 GLS63,
I drove on mine regularly with no issues. However, the E55 is not my daily driver so I can't really comment on the wear.
They grip quite well, just make sure you air them down at the track. My best times were at 25-26psi. One night I couldn't get them to hook for the life of me and on the way home I realized I forgot to air them down (ran at 40psi) when I got to the track.

I have ran the Nitto DragRadial tires on multiple vehicles with no problems. I think the first set I had lasted about 5K miles and that included probably 10 passes at the track and a few burnouts.
The last set was the 315 steamrollers on my 04 Cobra...They hooked up pretty good.

are you putting your stock front wheels/tires on as well for the rental?

Did you try them with lower pressure than 25-26 and they were worse or did they get unstable? My best 60' so far was a 2.074 and best 1/4 was 12.83 at 110.59 (in the only 4 runs i've ever done on a 1/4 mile track) so I should be able to improve significantly with the cooler weather were expecting and the DR's helping me out.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

IMO, 25-26 is too high. I'd start at 18 and work down from there. If you're changing tires at the track, your tires will be cold and therefore you'll get a pretty big jump in pressure after your first burnout and pass. Check your tire pressure after every pass and adjust according to your 60' times.
