Have you heard, 4matic AMG is coming!

All-wheel-drive returns to the AMG lineup with the launch of these two new vehicles. While primary markets for AMG are Southern California and Florida, a strong contingent of AMG owners in the northern U.S. will appreciate their rare combination of power and traction.

Does it mean it might be optional for E63 ETC?

I hope to make it to Chicago to get pics to post of both. :

But it is still my understanding that they won't add 4WD or 4-Matic to an AMG Vehicle like the E -- sorry....

I asked Rob Allan at last year's AMG Challenge if 4matic would ever make. He said it was definitely on the radar but didn't know much more, or if it would be any time soon.

It means with the release of the R63 and ML63, that there will exist an AMG with all wheel drive, not that the E63, or any other amg model for that matter, will be available with it. Nowhere is that even alluded to.

2005 E55 silver
I was debating about buying an e-500 4 matic and sending it to Kleeman..since I live in CO. I'm just worried the combo of power, plus 4-matic means more opportunity for things to break..what to do..what to do...e-500 or wait and get the beast???
