What do you think of this wheel for the E55

Does anyone have Lexion wheels on their car? I am not very familiar with this brand. Is this a quality wheel?

I was thinking it would look great with the black finish on the inner wheel.

Looks nice, are they made by Ray's?

edit: looks like they are made by Rays, so they should be of pretty good quality.

Cost is about $2,000.00 (for a set). This is a 2-peice wheel and comes in 19", 8.5f and 9.5r. The weight is 24 lbs front and 26.9 lbs rear.
Does any one know the difference between this wheel and this HRE 540R wheel, besides a significant cost difference?

A very sexy wheel. Are they $2000 per wheel? If so, I would consider the HREs. Weight savings seem pretty good, too.

+1 for the wheel.

Anyone have any other input on these wheels? They look nice. Rock, where did you get your information on these wheels?

Is Lexion a "higher" line Rays wheel... ?

Thanks

LIke the HRE more

I like the HRE's better than the rays. I guess its the finish and the little holes around the 5 bolts area that I don't like.

Here ya go: LEXION

I have searched for more info on this wheel and have been getting conflicting information. One supplier told me the wheel weighs 24lbs, another stated that the weight is 30+lbs. The former supplier told me it will definitely clear the front caliper, the latter told me it would not.

In the hyper black this two-piece wheel looks very similar to the HRE 540R. If this wheel is actually 24lbs and clears the caliper I think it is a great buy because:
HRE 540R = $5,000 (wheels only)
Rays/Lexion= $2,000 (wheels only)

Picture of the front and rear lip:

I could see other models by Lexion weighing more than 30lbs, but not the 105s. They're actually made by Rays Engineering and they're known to make high quality lightweight rims. http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/rays/rays.html I almost bought a set and was also quoted 23-24lbs for the 105s.

Found some pics of them mounted. Beautiful rims if you ask me!

They are nice wheels. Ever consider the 5 spoke design that they have? I might know someone with a brand new set for sale...black centers

Nice set of rims. If the weight is in line with HREs and less than half the cost, go for it.

Another member slapped on Work VS-XX Rims on his E500. Looks similar to the Lexion 105s. Both are sweet looking rims!

They look like Fikse knock-offs (which means I like 'em!) But many Lexion (Rays) wheels have cast centers and forged barrels. For a car with the torque of an E55, I'd feel better with a completely forged set of wheels. I have similar looking forged Fikse's on my 911. (see below)
