I'm ready to buy rims....tell me what to get??!??!
Ok guys. You have been great with the feedback and I am getting close to pulling the trigger. The car is a DD that I enjoy on the occasional back road and straight. I plan to go to run 1/4miles and a few track days here and ther, but I do not care about the setup for those times. I need a setup that is civil for daily use but still performance oriented.
Here is what I am thinking to get:
I love JAY55s black HRE 840Rs.
I also like the CLS55 rims.
I wanted to stay with 18"s and go wider, but am willing to go as big as 19"s. 20"s are a bit much for me. The straight line on this car is already sooo stable and I really don't want even less agility than I already have. I definitely want wider (1/2 inch minimum on each end). I would prefer fatter 18s to thinner 19s, if that makes any sense.
Here's the help I need:
What specifications do I want to look for? 3 piece? forged? weight? etc.
What wheel options do folks advise? I need exact sizes and offsets to be clear.
If I do go with HREs, are the 840Rs the "best"? I like the 845R looks. I also like their "competition" line, but don't understand the technical aspects of the diferences between all the series.
I plan to get the appropriate PS2s to go with it, so let me know what sizes you guys like and why??
Thanks fellas!!
Oh yeah, pics would be great!!

Track Day: One piece forged would be the best bet, e.g. Carlsson 1/16UL, with appropriate track or drag tires. To say the truth, larger rims are more for show than anything else.
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a set of 19" 840R + PS2 for summer use too. I wanted the center painted charcoal, but wife like it in silver, so we tossed a coin, and yeah, the wife won.

I wonder if they come in 19x13. I have a feeling they would look nice with the stock tires on the rears only of my car!

I prefer HRE over iForged simply because of some issues iForged has had.. but if you get a good dealer for iForged then everything is fine.
Shoot an e-mail to info@euroteckmotorsports.com if you're looking for some HRE's or iForged. Great prices, and fantastic service.

I too have heard countless horror stories from Iforged. All from random people to friends...Some got 2 different rear wheels widths, others ordered 18 inch wheels and got 19's and such.
Personally I would take HRE over Iforgery anytime, anywhere. And plus HRE service is considerablely better...
Just my 2 cents...
