F430.. is a true sports car.
Actually, there are a few M5board members that actually think they can take an F430 with the M5.
I do understand that they feel that their car is the king right now, but c'mon!
I think the weight advantage of the Ferrari is close to 1k pounds.
One thing is to hang with a F430, but beating one is a different story.

Wow, that F430 can run. The M5 was at least respectable in how it did, I wonder what a stock 55 will do against one.
I'm sorry, but any M5 owner that actually thinks they can keep up, or beat haha, an F430 is sadly mistaken. F430s are, well... F430s. Anyone see the Top Gear on it? Jeremy Clarkson basically said its a toned down version of the Enzo.

Don't blame 'em, there was a UK magazine test (Autocar) sometime last year where the M5 actually did beat an F430 in a straight line. However, that F430 did feel unusually slow according to the tester so maybe it wasn't a fair comparison. BTW, anyone here know how a F430 would fare against a Gallardo? I raced a Gallardo last week and since the Gallardo is supposedly the same as an M5, maybe I can gauge how we would fare against an F430.

Nice video. Thanks for posting. I wonder how the F430 compares to a 360. My guess is that it is faster than the 360. My E55 pulled away from a 360 fairly easily. Maybe our cars would give a 430 a run for the money. I think a K2 car would definitely be faster. Someone needs to race one and then we will know.

I still haven't seen any M5s here in Boston, but there are six of them sitting at the dealership lot. I wonder why.

I mean, maybe it's just me, but I don't really see an M5 keeping up, even though I did, in fact, read that article but maybe I'm leanin' too much in the way of the Prancing Horse...
The M5 just goes like a missile, never stop accelerating at the same rate, kinda insane so maybe the M can give it a run.

While that's certaintly a given, I don't think that was the intended purpose of the video. The owner of the M5 and the F430 are friends and were taping the race to see what the gap differences were going to be. The M5 owner knew he would get walked, how much? Well that's why they taped it.
