for those who don't know you multiply the "money factor" by 2400 to get the interest rate. So the MB deal is at 3% can't beat that for a benz.

You can get the deal. Don't low ball yourself. I just picked up a CLK today for $7k off. 0.0145 money factor + $6K off = hell of deal. Could have done better, but it was too easy to save the time and haggle. You have to let them know that you are aware of the pricing and the contributions that MBUSA is making to it. That way you can isolate the dealer's incentives better.
No doubt best time to buy a Benz. OK, ML / GL / G next!

By the way, the current factory deals end at the end of the month and also keep in mind the qurter end dates as they approach. It is all about meeting investor numbers, so these deals may go away soon.

let us know how it goes. I'm planning to start sending feelers via e-mails to all the internet managers around the area. Caliber, House of Imp, Fletecher, Downtown LA. ect.

I'm going to ask for $6k off MRSP on any new E55 on the lot with the lease information provided above, lets see what they say.

My last 2 new cars, that was my approach.

2 things. One, stay away from the sales staff as they are trying to get commission. Get a hold of the GM or Sales manager, who is trying to meet numbers. Fletcher sells about 1000 MBs per month. ask them how they are doing to meet this month's numbers? Laguna Niguel sells about 500 at best.
Both will deal well till months end.

does anyone know how lease works if...

you wanted to "upgrade" to an e63/ml63 for instance after 12-18 months? would the lease still be worth it or better to just try to find a deal on an 05/06?

sorry if quest seems dumb never leased so totally clueless

thnx

I tried to get my buddy to step up from leasing an E350. We negotiated a $6600 discount on an E55 and using the 39 mos. lease got the payment to 957 with $6600 inception. Hell if I needed another car I'd be all over this.

[QUOTE=jangy]So, just to clarify:

You can get any options or features you like (it is not model and feature specific as in past offers)

jangy are you saying that a loaded e55 would be same lease price as a non optioned car?

in real world numbers the special seems a diff of approx $250 @ month vs regular lease am I in ball park?

basically... the key negotiation that needs to occur is the MRSP discount.

i'm searching for cars with the basic options of lighting and Nav package. They are going for about 89 to 90k MRSP

I would like have the dealer take a $7k discount

I will come up with 3k plus the 1st payment and inception fee, lics, destinations, prep, ect.

so in theory i will using 80k as the capital and the lease rates mentioned above.

If anybody has sale manager contacts from any dealers here in So cal, please send them to me, i'm about to send a mass e-mail to about 5 dealers with the color, options and pricing I want.

At this point I don't really need the E55, but I cant take the chance of letting such a good deal get away. This is the last year of the E55 and I'm not sure they will run this deal before the E63's hit our shores. By then, allthe E55's just might be sold.

Actually, the difference is more like $300 - 350 vs. regular rate.

I am in sales at Mercedes-Benz of South Bay in Torrance, CA. We are number two volume dealer in the country.

We have eight E55 sedans and two E55 station wagons in stock with various options and in various colors.

If anyone is interested I would be glad to assist. My specialty at the dealership is aftermarket and AMGs.

Thanks.

I called you guys yesterday and no one called me back. Not you personally but the dealership. Newport offered $500 over invoice.

There is a $2700 holdback and about 5K+ in margin with a well optioned car. The one I talked about stickered at 90,505

I contacted my buddy in finance @ Porsche that assisted me with my deal. (05 w/ $10k off sticker $0 down (end of year & not easy)). With this current financing at MBUSA it would have saved me $178 a month. Assuming I was able to negotiate $8k (never mind the $10k) off of the 06 sticker.

If I only waited 3 months, I could have saved a few hours of negotiating and ended up $178 per month richer. But then again, I would have had to wait.

Vadim,

thanks for the info.

I'm looking for a great deal on a E55. It looks like the invoice price and MSRP difference is about $6k.

================================
2006 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG
4dr Sedan (5.4L 8cyl S/C 5A)

MSRP Invoice
National Base Price
$81,800 $76,074 $81,800
Regional Adjustment
for Zip Code Change - - $0
Optional Equipment $5,720
526 Premium Package $3,650
889 Keyless Go $1,080
319 Lighting Package $990

Color Adjustment - - $0
Iridium Silver Metallic

Destination Charge $775 $775 $775
Gas Guzzler Tax $1,700 $1,700 $1,700

I'm looking to get $7k off the MSRP of any new E55 in stock. Can you help us?

that is a good deal! I know I can't get $10k off, but 7 to 8k should be a valid offer.

which dealership?

can you PM the sales manager contact?

So is everyone saying that the new low money factor equals about $8k off a normal/regular 39 mo. MB lease?

Well you guys got me. I just happened to be reading this board this weekend and just picked up my new '06 e55 pewter/charcoal. i was about to do $1K over invoice which worked out to be about $5K under sticker. The car had lots of options (msrp of about $92K) so it ended up being slightly over the $1K per month but wow. What an impulse buy - but a good deal I think. I hope I dont regret this!!

can you guys confirm the money factor is .00125 ? I think they messed with me and charged me .00150. If they did will i be able to get them to correct this? i wish i printed this stuff out and brought it with me....

i guess lesson learned guys. i was so excited about getting the car i didnt pay attention. seems like the difference is about $33 month or $400/yr or $1200 for the life of the lease. they are gonna hear it from me tomorrow.

Eric

The MF for a 39 mos lease is .00125 through MBCC. Keep in mind, this is OAC, so if you're credit is not Tier 1, they may have penalized you to .00150 (which is still a DARN good rate!), assuming they went through MBCC and assuming you leased the vehicle during this special offer. This is why it's important to ALWAYS go through lease paperwork BEFORE you sign anything...assuming you know what to look for

This lease deal is getting interesting by the day. For those of you who are knowledgeble in leasing, does MB credit allows you to buy the car after 1 or 2 years into the lease? And how would MB credit calculate the residual for the purchase?

You can buy out the lease at any time. Although, there may be monetary penalties for terminating the lease early. Depending on several factors (cap-cost, cap-cost reduc, etc.), the buy-out is not always a good deal. You really should finance/buy the car rather than leasing if you think you will buy it part way into the lease.
