E55 firesale?
Anyone else notice that MBUSA is doing a lease special on the 06 E55 - $999/mos for 39 mos with $4k down. Pretty damn good deal. I am paying much more than that

I doubt it is for the E63. The CLS is the face lift that is stealing most of the E55 sales. My dealers have stopped ordering E55s and are sitting on the few that they get. This has been a slow month for MB (cars in general), but the CLS55 is still moving. At any rate, $1k/month is a pretty slamming deal!

the only question lies...
can you negotiate on the price on the vehicle and still take advantage of the great financing?
Their base MRSP is 85k with 3k cap reduction. 1 month payment and acquisition fee. Taxes not included.
I know I don't want to pay MSRP for a car that is not selling.
Those of you with 06. How much off MSRP should i expect to pay?

yea but the key to getting a low payment is if the price continues to drop like they have, then give it BACK after the lease and say THANK YOU... I wish I would have leased... I paid cash for my car to get a GREAT SMOKING deal at the time, but it's dropped about $1k a month as far as value... maybe even more!

Expect almost $8K off MSRP, depending on your credit and dealer relations. Considering that the residual value remains constant (through the negotiations), any discount just drops the payments. That is why they are now 1K/month for a new one. Check around for pricing and also check with Hoehn motors in Carlsbad, CA. I dunno where in soCal you are, but it may be worth th edrive. I can hook you up with the sales manager, if you'd like. I have bought 5 benzos from him in 3 years, so he knows how I work. he is also busy enough not to waste his time on haggling. Maybe we can get a 3 car discount?? Hehe. Hell, if i didn't love my '05 so much, I'd consider swapping for a new one of those, too.

Yeah I'm flipped too. I just paid 10 days ago 1370/ mo including taxes of about $120 something so the monthly is about $1250 before taxes for 39 month lease. The sticker was about $93K and I think that the cap cost was about $86K. Sounds like I paid a little more than was necessary. Oh well could be worse I could be driving a yugo!!

wow..... I just can't belive it, I've never seen MB do lease specials on the E55.... or any AMG car, posted publicly in their site....
http://www.mbusa.com/models/main.do?modelCode=E55
I usually lease my cars, but the E55 was never a good deal to lease so I bought this time.... they are basing this on a car that MSRP's for 88k..... which would normally run about $1400+ per month......
I'm feeling a little queasy..... I would have taken this deal quicker than you can say the word E55.....
here is the breakdown
MSRP: 87,925
Dealer cont: 2,414
Cap cost red: 3,000
Residual value: 50,010 (56.8%)
Money Factor: .00125 (very, very low)
Base payment: $999 + tax
NOW, if you find those dealers that were offering 8,000 off a new one? well.... with these residuals, and money factors, you could be at:
$850/month!

OK, here's the scoop. The deals are completey flexible and not based on the way that it is configured. It is all in the money factor, and the E55 has exactly HALF of the regular. All other factors stay the same (i.e. residual %, etc.)
So, just to clarify:
You can get any options or features you like (it is not model and feature specific as in past offers)
You can get any length and miles per year you want as well. Each has a posted "price"
The daddy deals are ONLY on the E55 / CLKs
The next set of deals are on the Cs
The next next is on the ML / Rs
All others are typical MB, but still flexible in terms of options / miles
All in all, not a bad time to get an '06, but keep in mind that the "new" facelift is due soon. Not an E63, but a "new" E. If you like the E as is (like I do), then do it. The difference in price between a CLS55 and an E55 is still about $5000, but in real terms, the E is MUCH cheaper!! Glad I like the better, anyway.
To those that already have one and feel bad: go for a ride and punch it, you may feel better!!!

here is what i'm going to work to get on the deal.
let's say the MSRP with options is $92k. I'm going to ask for $7k discount.
Brings the price down to $85k.
drop another $2k for Dealer contribution
drop MY Cap Redution cost of $3k
I should be around retail price$80k
Residual value: 50,010 (56.8%)
Money Factor: .00125 (very, very low)
Base payment: $999 + tax (should be bit lower)
does this sound like something I should shoot for?

I am screwed...
Damn... I just got my 06 two months ago w/$3K off MSRP and I felt good about it because the E55 never has any kind of deal! I held off getting the E55 for a long time, just when I made the move, MB screwed me good...
I should have waited another 2 months!

the discount off the msrp and the dealer contribution are the same thing.... so if you can get 9,000 off msrp, you would be at: $875/month + tax on that car.... 10k miles per year....

no doubt, my Viper GTS has been on ebay twice in the past few years..... I get people in the Viper club writing me and asking why I'm selling......

The $8K discount that I was quoted was based on all discounts added. I didn't get into the details with him about it because I am not interested in an E55 so i do not know what the final numbers would be. Just to be clear, I don't think he meant $8K off, then get MBUSA's deal. i think he menat that is what it would "look" like by the deals end. i do plan on getting a CLK and a ML/GL/G (one of them), so i will be talking to him soon. I can ask what payments to expect, but it would be rough numbers.

even if they can only do $5k off mrsp that would be good.
let us know how it goes. I'm planning to start sending feelers via e-mails to all the internet managers around the area. Caliber, House of Imp, Fletecher, Downtown LA. ect.
I'm going to ask for $6k off MRSP on any new E55 on the lot with the lease information provided above, lets see what they say.
My last 2 new cars, that was my approach.
