Finally tracked the car.
After months, I finally had an opportunity to track my car. (Thanks Enzom for the advice). I will post time slips once I figure out how to do it. The first time out I ran a 12.6, but with a 2.525 60'. Coudn't get the car off the line. The second time out, I ran a 12.1, with a 1.956 60'. Think it will run in the 11s if I can get it off the line. (Maybe after some more practice and warmer weather.
I must say these cars definitely pull. Both times I was beaten off the line, once by a Corvette and the other time by a Mustang. Both cars had performance work done to them. The Corvette got about 2 lengths ahead of me before I caught him and beat it by at least 2 car lengths. The Mustang seemed like it hit the brakes the eay I caught up to it and blew by. To anyone who hasn't tracked their car, I highly recommend it.

Thanks
Not stock though.. Renntech ECU, Pulley, & Headers..
My R/T was too slow and it was only my second time (ever) at the track. Couldn't get the car off the line properly..
I must say that with the Renntech upgrade this is a completely different car.

I was there also yesterday. It was good to see Steve there. We got lots of props from the folks at the track. The track announcer said "Folks, you don't want to pick on thost AMG cars."
The track was terrible for street-tired cars until about noon. It was less than 40 degrees for most of the day with a wicked wind that turned into a strong head wind during our last runs. I could have had another run, but decided it wasn't worth it.
Steve didn't drop his rear tire pressure, so he lost a bunch of time at the start. If Steve dropped the PSI, I am sure that he would have had that bit of extra grip to get into the 11's.
I didn't drop my tire pressure to 23 lbs until my second to last run, where I ran a 12.206 @ 116.69. My 60 foot time was a meager 2.010. Tires broke loose at the start (and the ESP bogged me badly) even easing into the throttle with no power-braking. I don't know if it was just too cold to grab, whether the PS2's offer less grip at the launch, or the head wind was too strong. Steve had the same problem, but it was worse for him with that extra power and higher tire pressure.
I'll wait until we hit a solid 55 degrees before heading down again. I am sure that if Steve runs in that weather, with the right tire pressure, he will have some very strong runs.

I am running 275s in the rear. I had them put on along with the Renntech upgrades. Michellin PS2s. Thinking maybe I should have gone with an R compound tire though. What about an LSD? Do you think that would help?

I agree with Derrick. Sticky tires are a better !/$ than an LSD.
Any stock E55 can run in the 11s on a drag radial. I went 12.16 at one of our track days, bone stock, on stock Contis. If I had DRs, I would have been in the 11s that day.

Yes, altitude greatly affects the performance of a car.
