what kind of liability do you have to sign for this? "if" there was an issue, like you wrecked their S65..... who pays?

I don't remember any mention of that - you have to sign a waiver having to do with the 'inherently unsafe' aspects of an auto event but nothing (that I recall) having to do with liability for the Challenge cars.

My *guess* is that any retribution would be up to how negligently you acted as judged by the instructor.

eta - they had 65 cars on DISPLAY but weren't anywhere NEAR letting you drive one. I think some people at Lime Rock at the grad challenge got to take laps in them with someone else driving.

Considering the event is only 1200 dollars compared to BMW's 3000 dollar event where you only get to drive the m3 and m5 I'd say its a bargain. Also considering that a set of pilot sport ps2's is almost 1200 and thats probably what you would destroy with all of the driving the experience is pretty well balanced. I just wish I was 21. Soon Enough

I done both events the BMW one is 2 days, smaller group (15 vs 80) and you get way more seat time. But 1200 for the AMG is not bad and its fun. Wolf

Oops didn't know all that about the BMW event. If you had to choose just one event BMW or AMG which one would you pick? Was the BMW 3 times better than the AMG?

Well price for price the BMW M school was $3495 which included hotel and all meals. The AMG Challenge is $1195 Grad is $1595 total of $2790 plus I will need 2 nights hotel at Homestead so say cost is $3000. So AMG is $500 cheaper....I really liked the class size at M as I said it afforded a lot more seat time. At the M school we had about 3hrs driving time total each day, at AMG I did last year I got about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs drive time. I hear you get a lot more seat time at Graduate so after I do my 2 days at Homestead in October I will be qualified to answer your queston. Wolf

Did both days at Homestead last year. One of the most enjoyable things I've ever done, and I felt the cost was money well spent. Met some really super people, both instructors and other students. If you are considering it, just do it - you won't regret it!

The Ferrari Challenge was at Homestead this weekend and had a bunch of FXXs...about 1/3 of the production run. They sounded great but it seemed the owners were heading into turn one slower than the hot laps with the AMGs last year. That’s the beauty of the AMG Challenge...since you’re not running your own car you can really let the hammer down.
