So. CA track day

Does anyone know when the 1/4 mile tracks are going to open? CA Speedway etc.

I got the itch.

I've got the itch as well. Anybody know of a good, safe open road besides the track? Maybe a closed airport?

I've heard the El Toro is closed and was wondering if any has tried to do some "testing" over there?

I always see car test or ride and drives at El Toro. It would be perfect for a standing 1/2 mile run!!

Let me do some research to see who can rent that airstrip? I'm sure it will not be cheap. It would be nice to get the M5, Porsche, Ferrari Lambo crews out there.

I'm sure it will be nice to get the other cars there as well but lets do an all benz first and see how it pans out. Let me know what you find out about the strip and how much.

LACR is having another one of their "Street Racer Nights" April 15th. Not the best track, but on these particular nights, there is little to no tech and you can line up against whoever you want, run w/o timing lights on, etc. They do a pretty good job. I'll probably go just to hang with friends and maybe make a few passes.

the Fontana track has a few public days every month or every other month...

go to their website and check out the schedule..

By the way, you will have to wait hours to run your car.

Private track rental at Fontana. Haven't been to one of these events, so I can't vouch for the track prep or waiting time:
