Installed Kleemann Lowering Module -- Pics of new stance

Well I just completed the install of the Kleemann lowering module and I must say that it was relatively easy. The install took about 2 1/2 hours total time. I took some pics of the new stance. Let me know what you guys think.

The car looks perfect. Pictures usually make the car look a little higher so I bet your car looks dumped in real life. Nicely done.

What are your plans for wheels?

Looks perfect. How many mm did you drop it? Also why does it take 2.5 hours if you are only doing software, is there more to it?

There is an actual module that needs to be installed.

Your car looks great! Sorry to rain on your parade, but you now have some serious issues with the front camber. It looks like you now have over -2.5 deg on the front so try and get some alignment done with control arm pins to bring the tops of your front wheels out half an inch = 1.25 deg more positive.
Your steering will be a lot sharper, unless you intend to drive around Indy 500 circuit for the rest of your life!

Car looks great dragon. If you don't mind me asking, what does their module cost and how hard was it to install?

looks great,i have the same module as well.mine is dropped as low as it allowed, about where yours is in the picture .if you try to go lower ,the visit workshop will appear in your info screeen on dash.i had my car aligned at the dealer, the dealer had to install the "crash bolts" to bring the car back within specs. the dealer ripped me off by charging me $225 for the three bolts, which i have been told by other members on this forum should have been about $12 a piece;not including the alignment which was another $175.also make sure to tell the service advisor to tell the mechanic doing the alignment not to raise the car back up before aligning it with the button on the center console.for some idiotic reason they did this to me and after waiting an hour they told me the car didn't need an alignment, costing me another hour of my time.

Is that about how low yours is? Because, when I tried to drop it more via the overall setting "2 dots" I got that same message on my dash "visit workshop".

Regarding the alignment - are these "crash bolts" necessary? Should I just go to the dealer and say, "I need to get my car aligned, please install crash bolts", or will this be something they automatically do?

BTW -- out of curiousity, what airmatic setting do most of you guys drive around on?

You have to install a physical module that requires splicing into 12 wires.

Wheels are on the way. I went with a set of 20" AVUS M02's blk w/ a 4.5 inch chrome rear lip. Going to look wicked.

It looks great when you drop the car, but, IMHO you need to maintain the factory rake in order to keep the balance in the car.

I think you would need to raise the rear slightly in order to get the proper stance back. By lowering to that level in the rear you've flattened out the car's stance.

Take a tape measure and measure from center of fender to floor front and back and see where you are at. I believe you want a 1.5degree rake if I am not mistaken..

BTW, when you want to do your measurement, in order to be accurate, you have to start the car, and let it idle for 15min in order for the Airmatic to settle the car.

Looks good as I have the same module. I pushed my drop to the max and was getting "VW's" once a month which I could live with but it started to happen more often. Once the VW came on then the self leveling of the lights would not always work and I would get a flickering up and down effect. I just bumped it about 1/10th of an inch up and no more issues. Can you take some close up pics of the front and rear fender wells so I can see how far down you are? My original lowest height had the rears tucked in- looked great but the VW's started coming and screwed stuff up.

In regards to alignment, my MBZ center aligned mine for free since I was under 12k miles at the time- they got it within specs but the camber will not be perfect. I have not heard about any crash bolts and Evosport was unsure of those either. My last set of tires wore correctly fyi.

Does yours sit like this (old height):

Vic55 -- pretty much exactly like that. But keep in mind, I do still have my stock wheels on it. What is the overall diameter of your current wheels? My rears are 25.6".

I have mine set 1/4 rotation counter-clockwise from the point it display the VW message.

I was actually planning on documenting the entire install and taking pictures, but to be quite honest, it's really not necessary. It's a very simply install.

Mine are the standard plus size set from 18's to 19's (245x35x19 and 275x30x19). My PS2's in the rear are 25.6 too. Drive your car for while- you may not get VW's at the start but I would get them when I pushed the car hard in turns- the car was probably being pushed below the module's threshold.

Dragon,

Car does look great and glad the instal went well for you! Cant you explain when you are getting the visit workship warnings?

And do these just clear out without any intervention from you the driver?

In you photos what mode is the car set to? Comfort, Sports 1, or Sports 2?

Would love to see the car with those new wheels!
