Largest rear lip

Can all the people with wheel's specify the wheel size and what size lips they are running in the front and rear. Is 4.5 inch lip possible on a 20 inch? Post pics please.

4.5 is possible, but close. The rear brake caliper is MUCH smaller than the front, so there is room. How it will all look, I dunno. I have seen many 3.5" lips and they had room. Shape of spoke matters, too.

I have a 3.5" rear lip on 19" Work VS-XX

When I spoke with Neal at Euroteck, he said he has a custom fitment for 20" HRE 540R to allow for a 4" rear lip.

depending on the wheel centerpiece a wider lip is possible, although i don't believe that 4.5" is likely on a 55k car, also depends on where you start the measurement,if you include the entire lip from tire up and across to the center section;then it's possible.some may only measure just the flat surface ,not the edge.on my 547r hre's the centerpiece sticks out further than say a 540r taking away some of the lip,the multi-spoke wheels are more flat than the 5-spoke design which require more of a slight arch in the design ,especially on wheels less than 20".

I believe the AVUS M02's I ordered do indeed have a 4.5" lip. To be honest though, I'm skeptical of the lip really being 4.5". We'll see, they arrive sometime next week.

Here is a picture of them on a 996 TT.

I know a 4" lip is possible, Euroteck has done it a few times on the E55.
As for 4.5".. I have no idea, good luck to DragonAMG if it's for real!

He has not had those ones in about a year. He changes wheels likes he changes underwear. He has had about 15 sets in the past year.

It depends on what wheels it is. 4" rear is possible on HRE, and a bit more on a few other wheel brands.

Any HRE wheels besides the 440R series is easy to get a 4" rear lip on the E55.

Avus wheels is easy for at least a 4".

Iforged etc.

Pretty much, most custom wheels. Although it just depends on where you get it from since not all the dealers selling the wheels have specs to do them with a 4" lip.

There are probably a few other of the non custom wheels out there like GFG that don't have a 4" lip, but i am not to sure on those.

not true of any HRE wheel having a 4" lip on rear of E55k cars,i have 547r in 20" and have a 3" lip.none of the 5 spoke design wheels from HRE will have more than a 3" lip.

Perhaps the dealer you ordered from didn't have the specs to do it?

I agree. I think that's what sets dealers apart. Those who know the specs to allow for the most aggressive stance attract more customers.

I'd love to see some pics of a W211 with 4" rear lips. Can you post some?

Like i said, it depends on where you get it from. You can't doubt me since i have done it and seen it any so have some other places. Most dealers do not have the specs to know the correct offset to use to do it. I have done 19" and 20" 547R and 542R on the W211 E55 both with 4" rear lip. Funny they are both 5 spoke also.

i called hre directly before i ordered them and they told me that the lip would be 3".i do doubt the idea that they can be larger than 3" because of my conversation with someone at hre and until i see otherwise.

also,i measured the distance between the caliper and inside edge of the spoke and there is less than one inch between them.tell me, how is it possible to gain an extra inch when there is no space to do so?

lol, if you would like to bet money you would lose big. Call HRE again, speak with guy, ask is he ever sold any wheels with a 4" rear lip to Euroteck Motorsports, or Wheelsboutique.
