When will we see an 03-04 E55 in the low 50k range?

The more I see the E55 in the street the more like it and since my car is running on it's last legs I need to get a car within a year. I'm looking to get an 03-04 in good condition with <35k miles. When do you think they will be in the low 50k-high 40k range? End of summer...fall...next year?

Thanks for the input,

Scott

I'm gonna say next year... Right now 03's are dipping into the low 50's and with the 63 coming, that may drive the prices down a bit. I will say, prices are dropping faster than I thought they would. I hope they do dip (not to be an a$$ to current owners) cause I'm looking to purchase an 03'-04.

That's going to depend a lot on the reception of the E63.

That's a great price for your car!!! Good luck on the sale. I would have probably bought yours if I didn't just buy cte430's K2.

I don't see die hard enthusiats like us dropping the E55 for the E63. While the hp will be right over 500, the torque is dropping from 500ft. lbs to 450 ft. lbs. It's great from a marketing standpoint, being that HP sells the car in most instances. With decreased torque and it being expensive to add a s/c, I don't see the E55 guys ditching it for the E63

Yeah.... but lease returns from March special deal would certainly have a big impacts to the price.... If I were to buy a W211, I'd wait 2 years from now (when the lease returns start to kick in).... I think an '05 would be in low-50's or high-40's.

i say by the end of the year... 04 will be at high/mid 50's and 03's low 50's to high 40's

right now people are trying to sell their 04's at mid to low 60's and they are not moving due to the fact of the lease special.

for the same price of financing an 04 you can have an 06.

after the lease special passes by and the 63 motors arrive, we will see another gradual drop.

right now 03's are at about mid 50's and 04 are about low 60's private party.. (not retail or not trade in)

At the end of the day it depends on what the buyer is looking for and how much he is willing to pay for it. I sold my 04 E55 in Dec with many goodies for low $80K's.

True. Wait until the E63 is out and about. Prices are dropping, but should stabilize when people measure the cost of getting a new E63 and the cost of a slightly used 04-06 E55.
