Supercharger not working

Supercharger not working
After repairing electrical failure, supercharger is not functioning. Belt is running and diagnostics indicate everything is operating correctly, but car has no power and it is obvious supercharger is not operating. MB is claiming there is no problem because diagnostic testing does not indicate that there is one. Also, "car appears to run well."
Has anyone experienced this problem after an electrical failure and, if so, what was the problem. Also, how do I get MB to fix the problem. Car is still under warranty.

Almost guaranteed water pump failure or problems......and yes many times it will not show up on diagnosis.
Low pump flow = more heat = super charger shutting down to prevent additional heat.
Easy thing to try would be to have someone stand out in the street/right on the curb while you floor it coming straight at them. If she is working......you can't miss the whine. Hey....worth a shot.
Good luck....keep us posted.
PS....here's the whine, now Rock's car is modded, but ya can still hear that whine.

What does this flapper valve do anyway ? If its pre S/C it wont "waste gate" any boost but allow more inflow to the TB? Or do I have it backwards?

If this is not the reason, it is likely too be a failure in the electrical system, initiated by the repair done, on the electrical system.
If you connect a voltmeter to the S/C connector, and pull the wires into the cabin, together with the voltmeter, you should be able to read out 14 volts as soon as you floor the pedal.

The saga continues
My car is a 2003 E55. Thanks for info SLcharger.
I'm still trying to convince dealer car may run well for a typical E500, but it's no E55. I can't even chirp the rear tires in first gear with ESP off.
Dealer had agreed to pay to Dyno the car at a speed shop about a mile away, then backed off because he didn't have good baseline dyno numbers. I told him dyno was a waste of time and that anyone familiar with a W211 would know it wasn't right after driving one block. He told me he needed data to convince his boss that there is a problem.
I did a little research in this forum and gave him two sets of graphs for stock E55. I was a little suprised that I didn't find all sorts of good dyno data on stock W211 E55's so if anyone knows where I can get good baseline data please let me know.
I take the car in again Monday, so wish me luck.

If the dealership truly believes that the performance you are describing is "normal" for an E55, then I wouldn't let them you near my car.
If that is not the case, then the dealership is simply giving you tons of bull***** (you expect a little bull***** from a dealership, but not as much as they are giving you).
Either way, you need to find a new dealership.

I think the problem is the service manager can't identify the problem with his computer diagnostics and he doesn't know how to proceed.
Thanks to you guys, I have given him some possible causes of malfunction. As a result, he has been much more responsive and said he will bring in MB tech specialist (Let's hope they can identify the problem).
MB dealer said as a result of info you have given me, he realizes he is not dealing with an ignoramus who thinks there is a problem when there is none. This Board is a tremendous resource for people who need to get to the bottom of a problem and can't trust thier MB dealer. Thanks again to all.

Sounds like they finally might be helping you, but if they give you anymore BS, do yourself a favor and take the drive to Rahal. First class service, they always investigate any complaint to the fullest, and do not rest untill the customer is satisfied.
