when my car is idleing at a complete stop but in drive i hear a tapping or "tock tock" sound coming from the engine. does anyone else share this problem? it usually won't have the problem as soon as i let go of the brakes or if the car is in park. should i be concerned?

 

be concerned, be VERY concerned!!

 

actually, many sounds are normal, many aren't. have you checked the oil? if it is full and making the noise, it is either normal, or expensive. how many miles on your ride? sure it did not always make this sound? etc.
the beast is a pretty noisy biiiiatch, if you are standing next to it.
