Downpipes...
Heard a lot about Kleemann Downpipes and Evosport down pipes...

Are they just straight pipes design or something else ???

Anyone has pics of Kleemann headers underneath with downpipes installed ???

05 ML-500 , 03 CLK5.5 AMG has left the Garage
down pipes/Kleemann
The 1st picture is the headers on the car (CLK 5.5)
2nd picture is the exhaust system pre assembled on the floor. The down pipes are just in front of the Cats(those bullet shaped things) they are 2.5 "in dia . Length & bends may be a little different from car model to car model. P/S Rock Where's your Cats

996 supercharged C4cab widebody, x-5 (4.4), sl-55 kleeman, RR
i thought the kleeman tapered down pipe eliminates the pre cats and brings a 3" header outlet to a 2.5" exhaust pipe.

Down pipes
I option to install new 100 cell cats. To keep the engine emissions legal. You can do it with out cats , but you have to have somebody change the ECU parameters .

Thanks...guys...so they are just simply same diameteras headers pipes connecting to stock exhaust....

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, GLE 400d, R107 280SL, Golf Polo
If u go with Evosport Headers you wont need to change anything on the stock setup. Simple plug'nplay.

I went with Klemann style headers...thnking of moving my cats lower down or removing and deal with SES till I get Pullies and Kleemann ECU upgrade...
