Power Steering Delay from Park?

I am noticing a slight delay in the smooth turning of the wheels after start-up...especially when turning left. Feels like the right front wheel is out of round and hard to turn...then a few seconds later all is well and the wheel is easy to turn in all directions.

Anyone else experience anything like this and is it normal? Is there anything that cna be done to correct this?

I don't think it's the tire pressure, because after a second or two into the first turn of the wheel (while the car is still parked), the wheel truns smoothly.

It's like there's a slight delay in the release of the power steering fluid after the engine is turned on?

Have it checked ASAP. My wife's 2006 E55 had 800 miles on it. She called me from one of her "Black Belt in Shopping" sprees to let me know that she could not move the steering wheel on her car after she had started it. It turned out that the steering rack decided to destroy itself; caused by a leak of one of the seals. There was not any visible sign of a leak in the garage or where she experienced this mishap.
