E63 Pics from AMG Challenge
Hey everyone, the AMG Chanllenge yesterday at Cal Speedway was awesome. We all had a blast and got to drive some awesome cars. Really great group of people too. Took a few pics of the E63 they had on display, so here they are.

Nice pics of the event. it was great fun. my first time on a super speedway, so it was a thrill. There were actually a few E63s at the event. the particular one in the pic was Tommy Kendal's "personal car during these events". I also got a few pics of the E63 and others that I will post.

Actually, there were a few CLS63s. There were also one each of the ML63 and RL63. I did not see any CLK63s. Are you guys sure that is to come? I thought I heard the AMG product manager saying that the CLK63 was cost prohibitive.
The AMG group is basically using the E63 and CLS63s to figure out what the demand is on release in the fall.
We did not have much interaction with those cars and they were not part of the routine Challenge.

Have a black E63 on order and definitely like the way that one looks. Tommy Kendall does the Speed Channel specials and recently did one on the AMG series. I hope there will be an edition based on the E, CLS, CLK 63s.

Hey Ara,
I met you at the event and agree it was a great time. Also nice to meet you and wish you the best with your E55 and that little rear end mess you're dealing with. All in all this was a great event and worth every penny! Notice in the picture with the SLK55 that I was actually shooting Tommy Kendall blasting by in the SLR at 175MPH. He said it's the fastest he has ever driven in a street car. Wish I was there for Tomorrow's SLR event!

what's the story on the side mirrors; anyone have some pics of those? and from your experience, all you attendees, are the new mirrors (a) an improvement over teh current smallish ones, and if so, (b) are the mirrors interchangeable with/mountable on 03-06 e55's?

That is the Navigation antenna, not the Sirius one. Mine is an '06 and it has the one in the window AND a puck on the roof. The E63 itegrates both into one on the roof, between where the two used to sit.
sorry rbc55. the metal surface is not needed. it was an intended design change. I believe the S class is supposed to go to a single antenna for those features plus the phone.
