Dr Bundhi needs your Help !
The car has been "used". I don't believe tracked. For example, the gear bottons on steering wheel are dirty and quite used. The color combo leaves you wondering what about this car. Needs two tires, tint, detail, rear spoiler.
The car just feels like its missing something. The seller removed all lettering, except for "AMG" on trunk. The turbo whines when started.
HELP!!! Should I buy this car ?: I would appreciate any comments or advice you may have. I need to decide by tomorrow as I have been dragging my as- for too long.
just don't know !
I think they worked out most of the bugs on the 05's (knock on wood) but that car sounds abused. For a few dollars more you can get a pristine example.
My advice.............................keep looking!!!

It is 2 years newer though.

My advice would be to only buy a CPO. It will cost you a few K more now, but it will pay you back in peace of mind down the road. CPO is about the only bonus over a new one. At least you get some peace of mind with the warranty.
Also, is the car being sold through an MB dealer? If so, why is it not a CPO? It could mean that the car is "odd". Be aware of Mercedes Benzes with low miles that are NOT CPOs. It usually means they have issues.
Lastly, I do not think they sell the AMG Challenge cars. First, there are not enough of them as they travel around with them, and second they do not want to deal with the risk of claims of abused cars that did not get broken in proper, etc. According to Rob @ AMG, they become party favors. Soome lady at the challenge said that MB (Germany) gave some away at the X-mas party she attended!! Imagine that, flying to Germany to have Christmas with the Manufacturer of your car!!
He was pissed as when he bought the car the dealer made him sign an agreement stating that the car was driven by MBUSA staff, they failed to mention it was a track car. He was refunded his money and bought a new car elsewhere.
