And I'm sure you already know this but the PS2 are a pretty soft tire (I have them mounted on a 996T, and get flat spots overnight after hard driving). Add that to the mix of possible problems.
Yes indeed it is getting very hot and HUMID down here. The garage floors are much cooler than the roads so when you park a car driven on hot roads onto a cold concrete floor you get a temp flat spot in the nylon tire caps that the temp difference accentuates. The weird thing is my CLK500 with Pilot Sports, not PS2's never had this problem. As I've written above I did buy the Tire Cradles and they seem to help but I won't say for sure until I go for the 1000 mile service and have the tires put on the Hunter GSP9700. How do you like your TT, I've owned so many 911's and 911 turbos over the years I could probably write a book

I love it. This is my second (the first was a C4). I'm seriously considering on trading the turbo in and move into the 997T. The evolution of the car is coming along nicely, but I think it's near the end for the 911 (design/engineering wise).

I wonder if/when they'll do a 3.8 turbo for the street.

I have 20" rims at +2 sizing because I wanted near stock diameter (within 1%, so that there's no blot shaving to do, no reprogramming of the speedo etc.) - these are the same sizes/ratios you have - my tires are Toyo Proxes T1R and I love 'em. They are that bit harser than stock (duh at +2 they are expected to be) also a very slight shimmy at 55-60 even when warm. So I think that the E55 has some inherent shake there and the stock tires sizes/rims diramters maybe help a little.
Anyway try looking at Toyo (they are sticky and taught - they don't feel or look cheap) and they have a 30 day "try it" period on offer right now.
good luck.
