E55 tune up?

Yesterday i installed my Green filters & did the ECU reset & my car felt significantly quicker than before. I thought it was in my head, but after driving the car this morning to work, i felt it & i'm sure that there was an big improvement.

I also did the ECU reset and installed green filters!!!

Then I took it to the track. The results.........no change in ET or trap speed.

Sorry, but it made no difference in my car.

Rock, What did your car run? I'm really curious, with all your mods and as good as that car sounds it should be haulin' a**!

There is a 2 page thread currently in this forum on the reset but here are the instructions.....

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.

2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.

3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

I was going to pm you about your exact technique of launching. I got two runs in the other night with my BBSs and PS2s (traction control on).

I suck!!!!

I ran high 11s @122. with a 0-60 ft of 2.1!!!!! I cannot get this FREAK out of the hole. Help!!!

Is there a good thread on launching the car? I'm thinking of heading out to a track for my first time ever, and would like to make myself look like as little of a fool as possible. (a fool none-the-less, mind you...)

High 11's with a 2.1 60' isn't bad. You're well into the mid 11's with some tires. I think my crown as the fastest E without NOS is in jeopardy. All you need is tires.

I'm pretty sure that this reset works with any of the drive-by wire cars, I did it yesterday and I felt a little more snap and throttle response.......good stuff.
