Curb Weight

Anyone know a good place to find curb weight with a specific set of factory options?

er, I don't think it would be all that hard to just 50-100 pounds to the g.v.w., if you know what I mean?

Sure, but if I figured I could find an exact one, I would use it. I'm testing out my buddies' accelerometer, and I figure the more exact I can be, the less margin for error by the machine...

Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
Is the maximum recommended weight for a vehicle, including: the weight of the vehicle itself, fuel and other fluids, passengers, and all cargo.

GRV wont help you out. You need to know the curb weight.

For example the GVW for my ML is over 6,000 lbs vs the curb weight of 4,700 lbs.

Base Curb Weight
Is the weight of the vehicle including a full tank of fuel and all standard equipment. It does not include passengers, cargo or any optional equipment.

I think the curb weight of the E55 is around 4,080lbs but I could be wrong.

In Australia you can go to a public weigh station and get an exact weight of your car with you sitting in it. Alternatively, we can go to a waste disposal station where they charge trucks for the difference in their full and empty gross weights and get your car weighed for free by being nice to the guy in the booth No need to estimate then and correct for the weight of the dozen donuts you've had in the meantime, whilst trying to figure it out...

Rafal's advice is spot on. Find the nearest recycling center - they have drive-on scales that will give you an accurate measurement. The whole procedure takes a just a minute and might cost you a couple bucks.

Or you can go to anyplace that has moving vans - United Van lines etc. They all have pretty accurate scales - you can just drive in the lot and onto the scale - they'll give you a printout of your weight accurate to within 10 lbs for around $10.
