Who has a picture from topspeed?
This is an old one from myself with 305 km/u
(189,5 mph).
The speedlimiter intervene at 308 km/h (191,3 mph)!

It's not really observed in the US where we all know what's best for the guy behind us,
but in Europe coming up behind someone in the left you either flash, or put on the left turn signal to say you want to go around. (And to be fair, out of the cities, in the mountains, most people know what it means and let you by)

haha!No 'Neutronium' is right.
The picture was taken on the German 'Autobahn' and with this kind of speed it's better to let know that you want too past by when a 'slower' car is on the right.
Germany is near to my place, and there is no limit for speed!

LOL.... I don't think you got it.... not questioning whether you have the car or not.... but there is no such body style W230 for SL55 and W221 for E55.
I think it's a typo or you must be quite new to mercedes...
'05 SL55 is R230, not W230. And '03 E55 is W211, not W221.

2006 E55
I have driven mine several times now to 160mph which is where the limiter kicks in. I have even let friends drive it to that speed because it is so easy to manage at this speed. I have however never taken any photos while driving like this but I will in the near future. My only fear is getting caught by DPS. For some fun take a look at the S55 on the members cars section of a club I belong to. Once you are at the members cars area click on the S55 and scroll down to the bottom for a video of his freeway run. I believe he films up to 177mph. The car has been modified by Renntech thus changing the limiter to I believe 186mph. The web site for the club is www.scottsdaleexoticcarclub.com. Enjoy!

Hehe, aren't you supposed to let your car run in? Not supposed to be flooring it or something untill at least 1500km!
I'm a wannabe E55 owner. Got the fastest car I could afford, which does actually manage 250km\h. Except I don't dare hold a camera at that speed!
