Unhappy Rim Repair services

Bad day...just got some major curb rash on my fricken deep dish 3-pc. 19inch Iforge Daytona's.

Any recommendations where I can send my wheel to repair the lip? Nothing is bent, just scratched to crap. So pissed at myself.

I hit a pot hole a few weeks ago and had to send my wheels out for repair.

I could find anyone that could repair my wheels and get them back to me very quickly. 3-4 weeks.. Here are some links to some places i called. I used Wheel-Fix-It in huntville. They are really nice people. I am still waiting on my wheels!!

thanks for the references. How much did it set you back/wheel? Also did you have to unmount the tire?

I sent mine in with tires mounted. Not sure how much yet but im guess around 350.00 to take the wheel apart and rechrome the outer lip.

I found a mobile guy here in Jacksonville, FL, who sets up behind the Jaguar dealership - they send him business, but he also takes other work if you know how to get in touch with him (my MB salesman gave me his name and #). He does touch-up painting and rim polishing. Has a trailer filled with his gear. I read a magazine in the dealership lounge during the 30 minutes it took him to polish out the curb rash on BOTH my front rims (scratched them up both about a week apart less than a month after I put them on!). It cost me $350- for the pair, and he did it right in the parking lot, with the wheels on the car. Excellent job, too. Basically, this is to let you know there are guys like this out there, who do good work. You may want to make some calls around town to see if your area has someone like this before you go through the hassle of sending your wheels off at great expense and headache.

Yes, I heard many good things about them. Decided to go with Wheel Techniques because Rite-Way mentioned to me that Wheel Techniques had a new machine, which was better for straightening wheels.
