E55 RUSS

07 SL 55 makes 517 HP at the crank and 730 torgues...as fas us I know the only think AMG done is upgreade its ECU with newer software...

So do you guys think it possible to upload this software from 07 SL55 to our E55's ???

Anyone has any ideas

Not even the for old vs. new SL55, because they have changed the compressor as well!

I have asked the people from AMG already 2 mounths ago when my SL was there for removing the speedlimiter!

Isnt the new Kompressor a high speed Kompressor with dual clutches?

It is the same blower housing just with different internal gearing for blower speed. The car also has a 80mm Throttle body and these two things create the added power.

They can likely be added to a E55 but bet it wont be cheap. They always seem to change something to make upgrading a pain in the butt.

The 07 55's are just like 06's that have slightly larger crank pullies and bigger throttle bodies.

SL has a different gearing too.... does that matter?

Well that has nothing to do with power and more to do with how it pulls through the gears. That was done to make the SL55 keep up with an E55. The 2.82 in the SL keeps it moving where the E55 and its 200-300 few pounds to pull around only has a 2.65.

From person testing with my two cars the E is quicker (both stock) and putting a 2.82 in the E would make it even quicker!
