Back from the track

Went to the local track today. The track is known to be slow (aren't they all though ). It's at 3100' altitude (according to Nav) and it's Arizona so of course the heat can be a problem.

All I have to say is this thing is rock solid. I was worried about heat soak but I hotlapped it a few times and barely lost any power.

Best pass:
12.716 @ 111.41

Best 60':
1.941

Best Trap:
111.43 MPH

I went 12.7X on four occasions (including on the first pass when it was still 95F outside).

Not bad for the heat and altitude...especially when you figure I'm probably only running 11.7 psi instead of the 13.1 psi I'd see at sea level.

Race weight? 4294 lbs on the 12.716 pass!

DR's @ 18 psi, K&N's, Sport I suspension, Back into the water box, burnout (releasing the brakes and moving forward at the end), ECS off, Sport Trans Mode, Brake torque around 1200, squeeze in throttle very quickly but no stomp.

12.7 in a 4 door grocery getter. Pretty impressive. What do people project is the impact on time & speed of the track altitude and heat?

Tell us more about your Stealth. Is it a street car (full interior trim)?

If you go to the nhra correction http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/altitude.html. You can scroll down to Tucson, AZ for their actual correction. I got 12.3688 at 114.34 using their normal factor and 12.54 at 112.88 using the turbo or supercharged factor. Both corrected to sea level.

You could try going back again and cooling the car in between runs to try and get the cars max potential.

I'll take the E55 up to Phoenix to see what she can really do. That's much lower altitude...around 1240'. I just wanted some seat time.

It's a street car. Still has all the creature comforts and it passes OBDII emissions no problem.

Thanks,Im trying to compare my car to others.Yesterday I ran a 8.22 @ 92.74 w/1.81 60ft.That was on stock Conti's @32psi.,Sport,suspension on #2,the bad part is theres no way around the water box.I tried to clean them off but I think there was just too much water on the approach.Car left ok but started breaking the tires loose off and on after about the 30ft mark or so.I didnt check the altitude but it was showing 80-83deg at the track.3/4 tank of gas and my daughters car seat in the back..LOL

Time for some DR's and mods.

Wow... Am I doing this right.

Does that mean that my 11.997 @ 117 in my C55K S7 was really a 10.99 @ 118?

You multiply by the correction factor.
According to their correction factor for las vegas it would be 11.79 at sea level normal correction and 11.89 using the turbo or supercharged correction. The mph would be 118.93 normal correction and 117.95 turbo or supercharged correction. Corrected to sea level.

That make a lot more sense... thanks for the clarification.

Thanks, but I bet there are some details that you've overlooked. Somehow I get the idea that it's more than a "street car". All those guages on the pillar standard issue? No, I thought not.
Time to 'fess up, what'd you do to it?

06 E-55-95-F355S- 99 Porsche 911 C2 w mods
One of my friends had a Stealth years ago, it was a fast car with tons of potential for mods.
What type of turbos are you running? I see two split- second fuel/air ratio gauges? Single exhaust? Any internal mods or stock? How much boost to run 10's? How many ponies?
These cars can be had for $6-15 K now what a deal!

Could tell by the tail pipe you were running race fuel. Ah those were the days.. I had a 94 single supra that i sold 6months ago.

Looks like you have one of the cleanest stealths out there and built right too.

The corbeaus were like $800-$900 shipped with brackets. I bought them years ago so I can't remember for sure.

Yeah...those in the know can spot somebody on leaded fuel easily. The crack dust on the tail pipe is a dead giveaway.
