ROCK and roll!!
Thems the ones, baby. My short term memory is just gone!!
Anyone know if they are available from EVO, yet or what the deal is? If they are coming out, then I'm in on a GB. If not, I'll make us all some up. It looks like we have enough interest. I'd need a minimum of 10 sets to make it worth the effort and I do not want crappy materials and design. Actually, the ones I was looking into were cast to get the holes, vs drilling them. That way, there is less tendency to crack at the holes. I was also goig to cryo them for added strength in the long run.
Somebody call EVO and see what the deal is. I don't wanna do it, since I've been an *** to them before and I don't want to screw this up, too.

Jangy,
I just spoke to Simon from Evo and he said he would do a group buy (all four rotors for $1200.00).
One condition..........he said you must sell your E55 and never post here again.

I have Porterfield pads. I can't answer the second question because I haven't even gotten my car back to see how the pads and rotors feel. I will let you know though. Thanks!

I never tracked my car before and thus never got the warnings (heat) message before. I am going to push it now though..

I talked to Simon at Evosport today about a group buy on the rotors,it might be possible to do,but it would be nowhere near the same deal the first group buy pricing was.

They don't offend because I am sorry for saying what I did based on a single conversation with an ex-employee. In the mean time, I've learned plenty of car biz and charma lessons, so no need to hate. I'm now one of EVO's fans, although i have not taken the plunge and bought anything of significance from them.

Also, the E63 and E55 both still have the single steel rotor in the rear. The catch is that the rear incorporates the parking brake into the hat portion, so any replacement has to worry about that stress as well. Simple aluminum would get torn up quick. I think the EVO ones has a sleeve made of steel in that are, but I am not for certain.
